The Healthcare Scheduling & Insurance Follow-Up Specialist responsible for answering inbound calls professionally and accurately scheduling patient appointments, including new bookings, cancellations, and reschedules. This role includes verifying insurance coverage, collecting patient demographics, and entering data into the scheduling system in real time. Agents are expected to provide excellent service, ensure proper handling of sensitive information, and support patients and provider offices efficiently.
Responsibilities:
Patient Scheduling & Support:
Schedule, modify, or cancel medical appointments while adhering to client protocols
Verify and update patient information, including insurance details
Answer patient and provider inquiries regarding appointment logistics and availability
Call Handling & Communication:
Manage high-volume inbound calls in a fast-paced contact center setting
Maintain professionalism, empathy, and clarity in all interactions
Notify patients about out-of-network carriers
Data Entry & Accuracy:
Accurately document call outcomes and appointment details in the system
Ensure scheduling compliance with client expectations and operational workflows
Compliance & Conduct:
Safeguard confidential patient data
Follow organizational policies and adhere to code of conduct expectations
Requirements:
Advanced English Level (Mandatory)
Strong communication and computer skills
Call center or customer service experience preferred
Availability to work full-time onsite Monday to Friday
